Rise and Shine

A seven-metre tower of thirty disco lightboxes.

Rise and Shine is a 7-metre-tall tower of 30 stacked disco lightboxes installed at Piccadilly Circus as the centrepiece of Art of London's Art After Dark programme, running 3 to 10 February 2026. Created by London-based artist Lakwena Maciver, the work draws on sound system culture and the energy of London's 80s and 90s music scene, playing hip-hop, soul and funk into one of the most trafficked public spaces in the city. Commissioned by New Public.

Nonesuch Works managed production alongside Wyliewood.
